Sometimes life can just be too much.

It’s rare to find someone who has not been affected by stress, overwhelm, burn-out, or trauma. It can be hard to recover, difficult to move forward and even harder to seek help. Many continue to struggle with emotional pain in silence worrying about ridicule and judgement.

And I am not the exception.

I spent eleven years in the health and fitness industry before transitioning to human services sixteen years ago where I worked with at risk youth and families.

I started Hope for Health Wellness five years ago as an opportunity to collaborate with expert coaches, mental health providers, practitioners, healers, and mentors to provide a safe space for connection and education on alternative options for wellness and self-care.

Education around the impact stress has on our health is important to me is because of my own healing journey which started after a decade of emotional upheaval which included:

  • A high-risk pregnancy and traumatic birth of twin daughters.

  • A 2 month NICU stay and a variety of risky health issues the first several years of their life.

  • An unusually unique divorce that resulted in years of financial and power struggles.

  • Single parenting while working 3 jobs to make ends meet.

  • Blending a family, again, with a unique set of chronic stressful circumstances.

  • A diagnosis of Fibromyalgia for myself in 2006 and a diagnosis of Polyglandular Autoimmune Type Two for my daughters, Taylor and Morgyn in 2004 at the age of 7.

  • A variety of toxic and unhealthy relationships personally and professionally.

The year 2006 was a pivotal transition for me.

When I stopped beating myself up for what I ‘should have done different’, I was able to get back on my own team, and start experiencing life the way I wanted. With a trusted medical provider, healers and many other mentors on my journey I learned complementary layers and alternative options to advocate for my emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

This transformation encouraged me to create a life that I love.

With twenty plus years of education, certifications, and personal experience, I hope you feel confident that while you are going to learn science based- smart information, I also come with a heart of compassion for others who are struggling, because I know how that feels.

Along with Hope for Health Wellness, my women’s fiction novels can be used as a Bibliotherapy tool to cultivate social emotional awareness. These novels bring a voice to the exact scenario’s that challenge us to the core.

Research has shown that literary fiction enhances our ability to empathize with others; to put ourselves into another’s shoes; to become more intuitive about other people’s feelings (as well as our own); and to self-reflect on our problems as we read about and empathize with a fictional character who is facing similar problems.

My passion is to tell stories, teach, share tools and strategies for self-care, and collaborate with other inspiring experts who can help you live the life you deserve. I love to support others through the journey back to restored vibrant health…because together we are not only impacting our own lives…but the lives of those around us.

I walk my talk every day. Even on the days I feel off center, I reach for the tools in my toolbox so I can return to caring for myself the way I know I most need to be cared for.

Getting “off track” is a guarantee- it’s called life. What’s different now is that I have hundreds of tools and skills that help me get back “on track”. The ability to return back to center swiftly and with ease is powerful.
